There is a 20,000 square foot Mormon (Latter Day Saints) church in Farmington Utah that had 158 solar panels arranged on its roof in May of last year. The panels generate 910 kilowatt hours of electricity and an average of 300 kwh are used for Sunday service. In setting up these solar panels, the idea is for the church to be self-sufficient from the energy that is supplied to the building and for the organization to have a $0 electricity bill.
