Yes I found four in Montana: Last Chance Cat Sanctuary, Montana Large Animal Sanctuary and Rescue, United In Light, Montana’s Parrot and Exotic Bird Sanctuary.
Ted Turner owns a large piece of land on which buffalo are kept in arrangement with the state of Montana. Ultimately, the state says, it inceases the population of the animal, but critics point out that they are kept mostly for sport hunting.
There are also 14 national wildlife refuges, including the National Bison Range; the CM Russell NWR covers more than a million acres. Also National Parks and Monuments such as Glacier and Yellowstone, as well as the state parks, are all wildlife refuges for most purposes.
