Indeed South Korea is ahead of much of the world in use and production of electric vehicles. The Korean automaker CT&T has already introduced some of their low-speed electric vehicle models to the U.S. Currently the cars are being manufactured in factories throughout Korea, but with a global market the manufacturing may expand into other countries. Seoul is aiming to become an example for the world by having a high rate of electric vehicles on its streets, with 120,000 more added by 2020.
South Korean-based car manufacturer CT&T is planning to invest $21 million in 2010 to create eZone and cZone vehicles—vehicles that are called NEVs (neighborhood electric vehicles).
