I do not believe that there are any geothermal power plants in Arizona currently. Although there exist a few high-temperature geothermal resources in Arizona, it has not been deemed economically feasible to derive energy from these sources. However, a proposal was made to use carbon dioxide, produced from a geologic reservoir in the St. John’s region of Arizona, in a geothermal power plant a few years ago.
