Yes, there a few species of gazelle that are endangered. Gazelles make up 21 different species amongst three different genera: Gazella, Eudorcas, and Nanger. There are four species that are classified as “endangered” according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature. These species are the Cuvier’s Gazelle, the Slender-horn Gazelle, the Speke’s Gazelle, and the Przewalski’s Gazelle. Additionally, the Dama Gazelle is critically endangered as their populations are limited to Chad and Niger and less than 500 individual Dama Gazelles are remaining in the wild.
