There are a great variety of nature reserves on Puerto Rico where you can see all kinds of animals. Some examples include Aguirre Forest Reserve (where you can see mangroves, lakes, tidal flats, and bird rookeries), Tortueguero Lagoon Reserve (the largest natural body of fresh water in Puerto Rico), Toro Negro Forestry Reserve (which is full of hiking trails and includes Puerto Rico’s highest peak), Rio Abajo Forest Reserve (which includes limestone caves and underground rivers as well as diverse flora and fauna), Punta Guanqilla Reserve (full of a variety of bird life), and many many more.
