Northwest fast food chain Burgerville has done a great deal to be more sustainable. They use compostable plastics for their shakes, recycled paper for packaging, and source their ingredients from local farmers whenever possible. The chain’s 39 restaurants have recycling and composting available right by the trash cans. They also reclaim fryer oil for biofuels. You have to get to Oregon or Washington to try these green burgers, but I can attest to their deliciousness!
