Are there any environmental problems with telecommuting?

Not really, aside from the infrastructure necessary to telecommute. Telecommuting is still less polluting and cheaper than it would be driving yourself to work. It is a good bit more eco- friendly telecommuting

Not really.  If anything, telecommuting is always viewed as having potential benefits for the environment.  Some city governments have even encouraged telecommuting as a way to reduce the urban environmental impact.  By working from home, people can converse energy by not driving to work or taking public transportation, saving lots on gas, creating less air pollution and reducing traffic congestion which also leads to noise pollution.  One study found that Americans annually save 840 million gallons of gas by telecommuting.
