The top five endangered species of sharks are the Basking Shark, Dusky Shark, Scalloped Hammerhead, Whale Shark, and the Great White.  The basking shark is easily hunted because it feeds in shallow waters and is generally quite gentle.  The Dusky Shark and Basking Shark often are used in Shark Fin Soup. The population of the Scalloped Hammerhead has declined 95% in the past 30 years.
