Are there any dangerous chemicals in Gatorade?

I have not brought Gatorade in a long time, but I remember that the powdered drink mixes had hydrogenated oil. You’ll have to check the list of ingredients in the store to see if it is still in there. That is unfortunate since powdered drink mixes are generally better for the environment than bottled drinks because they allow you to use your own tap water and require less packaging and transportation energy for the amount of product you get. The plastic bottles themselves that hold Gatorade and other drinks will leech dangerous chemicals into the water. As for the product itself, Gatorade contains high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, and other harmful ingredients. Instead of Gatorade, I recommend powdered coconut water or something natural like that.
