Princeton University offered classes last fall semester (2009) that would use the KindleDX in leiu of textbooks. Other schools that have launched experimental e-reader classes include Pace University, Case Western University and the business school at the University of Virginia.
This seems to still be in the testing phase, as complaints are being filed by vision-impaired students regarding difficulty with the e-readers. In the (understandably) PC world of higher education, if everyone can’t use emerging technology, it can’t be widely implemented.
