Are there any cities that are using artificial trees to absorb carbon?

Good question, johanosborne.  The answer is no.  Currently, the artificial trees you speak of that would capture carbon are not being used yet, though a proposal has been made for building 100,000 of them in the next 10-20 years in the UK.

Here is a picture of what these artificial trees may look like:

Artificial trees, and any other large scale CO2 sequestration proposals, are really an interesting topic.  We tend to get caught up in how well these techniques will work, and forget the fact that we can help to reduce, and maybe one day even eliminate our production of CO2 in the first place.

    Anyway, hope this helps!
