Are there any cancers associated with eating too much or too little of certain foods?

    Cancer can be caused by elements known as carcinogens. These compounds are not found in food naturally, but rather are sprayed onto foods in the form of industrial pesticides and fertilizers. The EPA asserts that eating foods treated with pesticides that contain known carcinogens exponentially increases ones rate to develop cancer. So if you eat too much food that was produced with the help of a chemical like DDT, you could develop cancer. Additional, eating enough of certain foods can help prevent cancer; for instance eating a lot of fiber greatly reduces one’s chances of developing colon cancer.
