Are there any birds that are direct ancestors of the pterodactle?

I cannot find any confirmation of a direct link between pterodactyls and particular species of birds. Chickens are descendants of Tyrannosaurus Rex, though.

Because the immediate predecessors of the pterosaurs have not been described, the ancestry of pterosaurs is not well understood. However, most experts believe that pterosaurs evolved from long-legged, ground-running ancestors like Scleromochlus or Sharovipteryx.
