Yes, there are a lot of animals that eat cactus despite its prickly nature. A lot of small animals like bats, woodpeckers, other birds, and insects eat the leaves and stems of cacti. Many other animals like deer and actually humans eat the fruit of the cactus. Small animals can get between the needles in order to get at the fleshy stem, and larger animals are able to get to the fruits.
Birds, insects, humans, long-nosed bats, wasps, ants, and butterflies all use the Cactus plant as a source of food.
