    Humans have a gestation period of roughly 280 days. Following are all examples of longer gestation periods:

    Camel (410 days)
    Donkey (365 days)
    Elephant (616 days)
    Giraffe (420 days)
    Horse & Llama (330 days)
    Rhino (450 days)
    Whale (480 days)
    Zebra (365 days)

    Though here are more, here is a list of 10 animals that have the longer gestation periods than humans.

    Manatees: 13 months

    Camels: 13-14 months

    Giraffes: 14-15 months

    Velvet worms: 15 months

    Rhinos: 15 months

    Walruses: 15-15 months

    Whales and dolphins: Although different species have different gestation periods, both whales and dolphins range around 17-19 months.

    Elephants: Representing all mammals, the elephant reigns king of the gestation period at almost 2 years. However, this does not mean it is the animal with the longest gestation period.

    Black alpine salamanders: 2-3 years

    Sharks: these beasts of the sea can carry their well developed young ranging from 2 years to 3.5 years, depending on species.
