As Soa200 mentioned, there are many different green/socially responsibly mutual funds to choose from. Yet, there are a few things to consider before investing.
The green market seems like a good investment; the future is positive and expected to grow. But, it is worth understanding that this young market is greatly affected by government policies and regulations, most of which are still relatively unknown. This immaturity of the “green” market also comes into play when researching companies to invest in, most of the companies are young with a minimal track record.
Yes, there are opportunities, but it is important to understand the risks involved. I would recommend you thoroughly read the prospectus of any fund you are considering investing with prior to handing over a check.
