Are termites necessary for nature?

    Termites are important. Termites help to decompose the dead trees in the forests. The role they play is vital because they manage to make space for new growth. Without termites the decomposition process would be a great deal longer and trees would litter the forest floor.

    Like all other creatures, termites are help in reducing the size of organic matter before decomposition. They also serve as food for some species including man. thy incorporate organic matter into the soil making it richer.
