More power to you if you feel you could live in a tent! There is only one answer to the question: obviously! You wouldn’t need electricity to heat and cool a house and power appliances, e.g., dishwashers and washer and dryers. You wouldn’t use all the materials it takes to build a house, i.e., the lumber, bricks, mortar, siding, and insulation.
If you were living in a tent, however, and still purchased the food items an average American purchases, you would need to find a way to dispose of the packaging in which they come. We wouldn’t want you littering the areas that aren’t already designated for garbage!
