Are superfunds and brownfields the same thing?

Superfund is the name for an environmental cleanup program for toxic or hazardous waste sites, called “superfund sites”.  These sites are the most hazardous in the nation.  A brownfield site is similar, usually an abandoned industrial site that may or may not contain low levels of hazardous waste or pollution.  Brownfield sites are sometimes superfund sites, but superfund sites are not necessarily brownfields.
