Are super concentrated laundry detergents a lot better for the environment than regular ones?

Firstly, super-concentrated detergents use less water in their formula, so they gain environmental points there. Their big impact, though, is on packaging. When the detergent is super-concentrated, more loads worth of detergent is placed into a smaller bottle. This cuts down on transportation costs (environmental and financial), landfill waste, and the fossil fuels used in the creation of plastic bottles. All in all, super-concentrated detergents are better for the environment mainly because of their need for less packaging.
