Are stripped bass considered an invasive species?

Striped Bass are native to some areas on the east coast from the Gulf of St. Lawrence to Alabama. They are considered invasive species in other parts of the country. The California Department of Fish and Game says that they were introduced in California in the mid to late 1800s. They now can be found in large numbers up and down the west coast from Mexico to British Columbia.

Yes they are an invasive species. They are a major threat to salmon because the stripped bass tends to prey on salmon. Check out the link for more information.
