Yes – anything aerosol releases toxic chemicals into the atmosphere, harming the ozone layer. Although not as dangerous as they once were, aerosols still require the burning of fossil fuels to manufacture and cause more damage than solids that don’t require a pressurized delivery system.
Deodorants are not particularly great for the environment as they contain chemicals that can be polluting. However, aerosol deodorants are worse than solid deodorants. This is because aerosol-propelled deodorants break up the particles into smaller bits that can get trapped more easily. So, in short, solid deodorants are the lesser of two evils.
