Yes. Snails and slugs are considered to be gastropods, however snails are “molluscan” meaning that they have a shell.
Yes, they are. They are both mollusks, and are also related to oysters and clams. This doesn’t mean that a slug is a “snail without a shell”, though. They are two different, albeit closely related, species. Sometimes slugs have small, internal shells.
