    Yes, sloths live in rainforests and secondary forests in Central and South America from Nicaragua through Venezuela, Brazil to Peru, Columbia, and in the Amazon Basin.     Yes. Due to their diets and natural biology, sloths cannot survive outside of a rain forest setting. While the sloth population is starting to decline, they can still be found in the rain forests of South America.
