The Sloth Bear (Melursus ursinus), also known as the Labiated Bear, is an arboreal, nocturnal and insectivorous species of bear restricted to the Indian subcontinent.

Sloth bears weigh between 120 pounds and 310 pounds. In addition to eating fruit, sloth bears have a gap between their front teeth that makes it easier for them to slurp up ants and other insects.
