Shamwows, because they are supposedly good at absorbing water, can help cut down on the amount of paper towels you use. However, they aren’t a cleaning tool, as they don’t pick up dirt or dust very well. The efficacy of shamwows have also been challenged.
I love my shamwow and think it does wonders to help the environment. After reusing my shamwow a few times (sometimes many) I simply throw it in the wash with the rest of my clothes. It is than good to go. This helps save me a lot of money in buying paper towels and is great for the environment.
