Are self tanning products bad for the environment?

Most of the regular self tanners are full of petroleum products, parfums, and other not so great chemicals. The green ones have the same chemical as the regular ones just derived from plants usually. The particular pigment used in self tanners actually increasing the oxidation in your skin if you actually go out in the sun (accelerated skin damage). So any self-tanner is bad for your skin if you go in the sun the “green” versions simply use more expensive versions of the same chemical.
