I wouldn’t say that sea turtles are afraid of humans in particular, but they are known to be antisocial creatures, so if they come into contact with a human in the wild, they would be more likely to flee or be defensive than social.
They naturally flee from humans, but can be conditioned over time to be calm around humans and accept their presence.
