Are sales of organics suffering from the recession?

It appears that the recession has not had an adverse affect on the sales of organic products. According to an article by the Organic Consumers Association, “sales of U.S. manufactured organic products grew 38 percent during the past year.” Growth was estimated to be about 20-25% for this year, so current growth is exceeding expectations. Organic soy products and meat alternatives are some of the fastest growing organic products.
