Are the production of eggs worse for the environment than the production of chicken for meat?

    Typically the production of meat is worse for the environment than the production of animal products. It takes less resources to get an equivalent amount of calories of eggs than chicken. That being said the animals that produce the eggs usually eventually wind up in the meat industry after they slow down production.
