Polar bears can reach speeds of about 25 mph on the ground. Grizzly bears are faster, reaching top speeds of about 35 mph. (I have looked at multiple sources. The ranges for Grizzlies seem to be 25-35mph and polar bears 20-30mph.) Grizzly bears may be faster on ground because they are smaller in size and weigh less than polar bears on average. Polar bears are excellent swimmers and are much faster in the water, however.
No. Grizzly bears are the fastest bears in the world. They can run up to 30 mph. A Polar bear’s top speed is only 25 mph.
