Vitamin bottles are not usually recyclable. Although they are typically labeled with the #1,2 and 5 recycling symbols, they are not of the same consistency as other recyclable bottles labeled the same. They are made of the same materials but have different melting points due to a different manufacturing process. I have heard that some curbside recyclers will recycle vitamin bottles, however, but not prescription bottles.
This is a cool program I have never heard of it before. I hope that programs like these continue to do well and we will see more of them.
