Plant cells have a wider variation in sizes than animal cells. While both types have a similar minimum size, plant cells can be up to 3 times as large as animal cells at their largest. Animal cells typically range from 10 to 30 micrometers in size, whereas plant cells range from 10 to 100 micrometers.
