Are other states going to follow California’s lead and start charging for emissions?

    Actually, the city of Boulder, Colorado implemented a tax on kilowatt-hours used by companies three years ago!

    California’s installation of an emissions tax may or may not compel other states to follow suit. California is known for having a fairly-strong history of environmental legislation…unfortunately, sometimes they are the only one in the crowd (see lead-content legislation in the state of California!)
