The idea of a hybrid-diesel car has been a glimmer of hope for a few years now, especially in Europe where diesel is really popular. The stumbling block is still the high cost of producing this kind of car, though. Hybrid cars that use petroleum are cheaper to produce and so have become popular more quickly because of their affordability. Until the MSRPs on hybrid-diesel cars can be shaved down near the price of hybrid-petrol cars, they won’t be getting more popular.
