Are nail clippings biodegradable?

    Yes they are. They are made of keratin which is a carbon compound.

    Nail clippings are biodegradable, and can be added to compost piles along with cotton swabs, cotton ball, human hair and pet hair, drier lint, tissues, toilet paper, tissue paper roll tubes, and newspaper (torn into strips to avoid matting).
