Are mushrooms a hearty crop?

“Hearty” is a subjective word, usually meaning robust, thick, nourishing. Some mushrooms, in some recipes, could be hearty, while others might not. There is no hard and fast definition of “hearty” as applied to foods.

And of course some mushrooms are poisonous, so they would not be “hearty” in the sense of something good for you.
