Are the motors in hydrogen cars just small versions of hydroelectric generators?

    No. Hydrogen cars use hydrogen gas as fuel. Hydroelectric generators use water current to power electricity-producing turbines. Hydrogen gas in cars are either internally combusted for mechanical energy or reacted with oxygen to produce electricity.
