Are more people becoming environmental engineers than ever before?

Absolutely, and for a number of reasons. Obviously, climate change has been thrust into the spotlight and more people are starting to take responsibility for their impact on the earth and want to do something about it. The recession has also left many people out of work and green jobs are potentially untaped business opportunities so many people are trying to capitalize on it. Admission numbers for environmental engineer and other green programs at colleges are up and I’m sure it will be stunning to see the changes we’re able to develop over the next 20 or so years.
