Are leopards or jaguars more powerful?

The brawny jaguar is “more powerfully built” than the smaller, more slender leopard.

A 2005 study of biting mammals’ comparative bite force has confirmed this difference in power. According to the study (my second citation, below), the jaguar has a bite force quotient (BFQ) of 137. The leopard’s BFQ is 94 – 43 points lower than the jaguar’s.
