Are leopards native to the United States?

Leopards are found only in the Eastern Hemisphere: throughout Africa (except Sahara) and southern portion of Asia. Out of other three big cats, jaguar range used to include southern US (they are believed to extinct there now). A wider definition of big cats includes cougars (also called mountain lions), which have a wide range in the Americas and actually native to the US, but that’s all we get.
