Are larger pools always worse for the environment?

Perhaps since the chemicals in swimming pools are pretty environmentally detrimental. Larger pools will have more chemicals in them that contribute more to the environment.

Chlorine is a major chemical found in pools, and are dangerous because they kill necessary bacteria and other small organisms found in soil. This affects the the food chain, since the bacteria is at the bottom. Chlorine is also dangerous to human health since it can cause respiratory problems and weaken the immune system.
