Are lambskin condoms better for the environment than latex?

While most latex condoms are biodegradable, most manufacturers also add preservatives and hardening agents to them to make sure the rubber can withstand a fair amount of friction. Those additives tend to make it harder for the condoms to break down in the landfill. While lambskin condoms also contain chemical additives that can inhibit the process of breaking down, “natural condoms, however, are still likely to be a greener choice than latex condoms, and are equally as effective at preventing pregnancy.”
