I’m not exactly sure, but I did find some websites that you might find interesting. The 1st link is the 10 most polluted rivers in the US. When I searched for the most polluted lakes, I got one main result. So it seems there are more polluted rivers than lakes. It may be because rivers flow over more space, and if any part of it is polluted, the river will rush that pollution forward.
