Are iPods bad for the environment because of their energy use?

Technically, everything that uses electricity is bad for the environment, but iPods do not use a huge amount (in comparison to other appliances.)

Apple has been working on making their products as environmentally friendly as possible, so their products usually are not too bad in comparison to their equivalents from other brands (with the exception of brands that make products with the sole purpose of having them be environmentally friendly, of course.)

If you’re really worried about your iPod’s impact on the planet though, check out this link to making your iPod more green:

And also check out one of Apple’s new projects: solar-powered iPods and iPhones.
