Are indigenous Inuit populations allowed to hunt and fish unrestricted?

The US and Canada have different laws restricting hunting and fishing. Indigenous people are in some cases allowed to not follow the normal regulations, but they are never allowed to hunt and fish in a completely unrestricted manor. There are always laws which are protecting certain species or certain areas from being hunted.
