Different plants are native to different climates on earth so each plant wants something different. A great example is cactus, which thrive in very dry climates and will die if they are put into an overly wet climate. There are plants like ferns or orchids that really like humid weather. The reason that greenhouses are humid is because the type of plants that grow in them like the warm, moist climate.
