No, though animals mourning their dead is very rare. Elephants are known to mourn their dead. More interesting is that elephants will mourn and care about the death of elephants that aren’t in their families. Chimpanzees are well known for mourning their dead (there’s a picture in the second link below that shows this). Dolphins are also known for mourning their dead, but it’s less frequent than elephants or chimpanzees.
