There is a concern over a chemical called triclosan, which is found in many kinds of dishwashing liquids, hand sanitizers, and liquid soaps as an antibacterial agent. Scientists are worried that triclosan disrupts the endocrine system and may create antibiotic-resistant bacteria, but there is not enough evidence to suggest that these things are true yet.
